Vocation Ministry: Did you know that in the United States the average age of a diocesan parish priest is 67 years old, that 42 dioceses did not ordain a new priest in 2021, and that Catholic marriages have declined by 67% since 1970? Guided by the Holy Spirit, the Vocation Ministry seeks to ignite a vibrant culture of vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, and sacramental marriage. Inspired by Christ’s invitation, “Come, follow me,” we invite our parish community to join us in prayer to support and strengthen vocations to the priesthood, religious life, and holy marriages within our parish and diocese. Each week, one family is entrusted with the Chalice of Vocations to pray intentionally for vocations. For more information or to participate, please contact the parish office.
